Tradition In the United Kingdom, has a a tombola is a form of raffle in which prizes are pre-assigned to winning tickets. Typically numbered tickets are placed in the drum with prizes allocated to all those ending in a particular digit or number. (traditionally a five or a zero). Each of the players pay for a ticket, in turn they then draw at random from a hat or tombola drum, and can instantly see whether they have won a prize. Tombola's are popular at events such as exhibitions, trade shows and even store openings.
